The MySportBook Philosophy
Who are we?This site was built by Mums and Dads, for Mums and Dads, after all we are those who volunteer our time to ensure Clubs and Sporting organisations around the country continue to tick over. We understand fully how complex involvement with our kids’ sport can become in that we finance it, organise it, drop off and pick up for games and training and much more. Not to mention our involvement in coaching and managing teams, participating in Club committees and our contribution to the writing of newsletters, match reports, mail outs, etc. We understand, because we have done it for years and are still doing it! |

Our teenagers sit on the internet interacting with their friends and seem to know what 200+ others are doing, but cannot remember their own training times, game times, game locations, presentation days or game plans. Does this sound familiar?
We remember some years ago attempting to make the “phone tree” work whilst forever digging up outdated notes from school bags, sports bags and pockets (usually having already been through the wash). |
|
As technology evolved, we tried setting up an account on a social networking site to interact with team members, but try asking your child to add you as a friend, let alone somebody else’s child!!!! So, we came up with MySportBook, originally aimed as a “set and forget” simple solution to channel information through to parents, clubs, organisations and children. However, it has grown from there. When we were young it would have been great to click on to a website with our grandparents, mother or father, uncle or aunt or extended family members, friends, etc. and have access to a history, photos and video footage of the sporting activities they were involved in when growing up. |

|
Using MySportBook you can have access to up to date information on a nephew’s or niece’s sporting activities and achievements. You can also have your own sporting information available for your own personal use and to share with others.
After researching sporting group requirements, it didn’t stop there. Whilst sitting scribbling on a piece of paper at a family gathering, my sister said, “Remember that joke Grandma always used to tell every time we got together?” Then the light came on. A group for the family “funny stories”, and my two sisters in-law, living interstate, just having had babies. We needed video! After all, keeping up with family is a sport in itself! Groups need not be restricted to traditional sports only.

Now you can join a group, see your coach’s profile, get information when you need it, interact with other team members if you choose to and share stories with friends and family.
In addition, we have added some fun things, funky stuff, tools and applications for you to make MySportBook interactive and simple to use. Added to that the not so simple extras, but don’t worry, your children will walk you through it.
